This is a 3 day course where J-Express will be used as an analysis tool. This course builds on the Introduction to microarrays course, so knowledge about the microarray technology is expected. We intend to focus on practical exercises in this course where pre-processed and normalized microarray data will be used as analysis material.

We intend to focus on practicals in this course, main topics to be covered are:

• Working with J-Express functionality
• Groups
• Sub datasets
• Use different analysis modules in sequence to investigate different parts of the data
• Experimental design including practical task
• Differential expression
• SAM/t-test/Rank Product
• Gene Set Analysis
• Explorative methods (PCA / PLS / CA / clustering)
• Time Series (briefly)
